I’ve been working with Crystal since 2002, at age 17, when I recorded a 5 song demo to get gigs when she moved to Chicago.

This recording Crystal Bowersox + Frankie May (bass) live in the studio were demos to show producers of American Idol Track/Mix/Master 20 songs.

She picked 5 of these songs to release. I thank her for that. Some of these where also played on the radio during that time because she didn’t have any other recordings. I know “Holy Toledo” for sure.

I was playing drums with Frankie May and Ben Barefoot of The Hand Shakes at that time. So we would be at the bar gigging and following American Idol on the TVs there.

Here we are at the Village Idiot December 2010. Crystal Bowersox, Frankie May, Ben Barefoot and me Chris Stoll…and her ex, Brian Walker.

I had to take a journey down that road in the early 2000’s before my daughter was born. The opioids were taking people out left and right, the doctors prescribing them like there was no other way out. Thank God that I’m off of them now. In 2021 I do not ever wanna go back to any kind of,
Opioids of Any kind. This was based on a true story; she might not haven’t actually died in the month of June.
But it went well with the song.

I was locked up in the New River Valley jail staring at a pair of Fruit of the Loom underwear and I came up with this song.

Telling the truth about true events that happened legally or may not be able to see the person's name but first name Melissa, my baby mother’s mother. I rest my case.I’m choosing to send this to Family 17
